BAPTISM! on a friday?!

July 18, 2011

So a great week has just past by, the temperature has been way too hot!!! High in the mid-30s centigrade! Even air conditioning doesn’t feel cold enough sometimes! So we are working with 2 great investigators, Natasha and Pamela who are both getting baptised this month…Well…

As of Friday, Natasha got baptised! The day of the baptism changed so many times, to find a time that her mum can attend, but it was decided last on Wednesday evening that we’ll have it on Friday! At 10am! So we did! we got everything organised and we did it! It was more a private ceremony, only 20 people came in total, but it was a really nice baptismal service. Some pictures from it was attached…one is a bit a blurry, but the best we got…On Sunday, she got confirmed, and she is doing so good… On saturday, we took some of those pictures and some notes we asked people at the baptism to produce a very nice looking scrapbook for her to keep and treasure…

Pamela is also doing great, she has been enjoying church more and more every time she comes, and is totally on track to be baptised at the end of the month! We had fun volutneering at the care centre she goes to, and played outdoors snakes and ladders, with real people as the pieces…Well…I guess another thing worth mentioning is that we turned out chapel into a free walk-in cinema to show the Joseph Smith movie, we projected it onto a big white wall, and it worked well…and we even had a testimony meeting afterwards to. Pamela who is was planned for, loved it!

So lots of stuff today…very busy and hot in the coming week…we are getting fed pretty well too.

Until next week…Take Care!
