Keeping up the good work!

May 9, 2011

Last week was SWEET, this week has continued to be a good week, we’ve been working well and working hard…could work harder still tho. We are finding new people to teach, setting more goals to help people get baptised…and working with 2 smokers to quit…it is very hard for them, but we got this neat little program to help them…and is working well so far. Next week is looking really busy already, we will be getting fed by members 5 out of 7 days, so it saves some money, I’m keeping myself busy, cooking most meal times, trying new stuff as well, be trying out combining korean style food with chinese style food, the two are actually quite different. Koreans always have rice in soup, and soup is just as important as the rice…it is tasty tho.

Whoa i just ended up talking about food….so with one of our investigators, Allan, before we helped him quit smoking, he asked him to crush his cigarettes, and he had 4 packs of Indian Reservation cigarettes, 25/pack, costing $16CAD, he was so hesitant, but he crushed it! That was nice to see, and we are working well with our branch. And life is going well.

On Mother’s Day, we both had to give a talk, and got to call home to speak to my family, that was very nice…they all reminded me that I only have 6 months left on my mission, I guess it isn’t a very long time after all…
But it is gonna be the last stretch…work harder than ever.

Our mission president shared a nice quote with us today, by President Gordon B. Hinckley… " Try a little harder to be a little better. Stand a little taller."

another picture, nice sunset with lake…
