100% Success Rate

November 29, 2010

We have one investigator at the moment, Ling, and she is getting baptised next week. So this week, we’ve only been working with her mainly, plus trying to find new people to teach of course! I’ve also been working to start a new ward project, to get every member of the ward to film a "I"m A Mormon" message. So we are still keeping busy.

1 out 1 baptised is good, a 100% success rate right? But it almost couldn’t happen. On Saturday, we invited her to speak with her mum and family about it, on Sunday, when Ling came to church, I asked her, full of hope and excitement, and she said her mum doesn’t want her to be baptised, in fact, they are supportive of her coming to church, but not really commit to anything, its kinda like sending somebody to school, and asking them, "Make sure you don’t learn too much". So we met after church had a sweet prayer, and throughout the day, while worrying, I worried and worried. But in the evening, when calling her to meet today, she said her mum will let her get baptised…

Of course we were extremely happy and jumping for joy, shouting in jubilation, and once again, we seen another miracle, prayer works, the Lord Jesus Chrsit knows the desire of our hearts…he listens, and he answers our prayers, he lives…and he is helping us in our everyday lives.

There is nothing else that I rather be doing or be right now!

Until next week…Take Care…Stay Warm

Elder Lau
